Privacy Policy
Plain-language description of what we collect when you contact WardenRTU, request a pilot, or buy a unit.
Effective date: October 23, 2026
WardenRTU is an early commercial product sold direct to operators in the United States. This page explains how we handle personal information you send through this website. It is written for clarity, not as a substitute for professional legal advice.
Who we are
WardenRTU (Steven McCoy, sole proprietor) operates this site and sells WardenRTU units direct. Questions about privacy or your data: email info@WardenRTU.com.
What we collect
When you use the contact / order form, you choose what to submit. Typical fields include:
- Name and email (required so we can reply)
- Organization and role
- Site type, approximate number of sites, NMS / monitoring tools, and power preference
- Free-text notes about I/O, isolation needs, or other site details you provide
- Which option you picked (buy now, pilot / quote, or question) and whether you are interested in a pilot
- If you order: quantity, ship-to name and address, and optionally your agency or company, PO number, and order notes
The form also includes a honeypot field used only to reduce spam bots; humans should leave it blank. If you email us directly at info@WardenRTU.com, we receive whatever you put in that message.
How submissions are processed (Basin)
The contact / order form posts to Basin (usebasin.com), a form-backend service that acts as a processor for inbound submissions. Basin receives the fields you send and makes them available to us so we can respond. Basin’s own practices are described in their documentation and privacy materials. We do not change the form endpoint for this site without updating this page.
Payments (PayPal)
Payments are handled by PayPal. You enter your card or bank details with PayPal, not on this site, and we do not receive your full card or bank numbers. PayPal shares with us what we need to fill the order, such as your name, email, shipping address, amount paid, and transaction ID. PayPal’s own privacy statement covers how PayPal handles your data.
How we use the information
We use contact and pilot submissions to:
- Reply to your inquiry and follow up on pilot or sales conversations
- Process, ship, and support orders, including warranty and return requests
- Keep tax and accounting records
- Understand site type, NMS, power, and I/O needs so we can quote or advise accurately
- Reduce spam and keep the form usable
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use the form as a marketing list for unrelated products. We share your ship-to name and address with the shipping carrier only to deliver your order.
Retention
We keep inquiry records for a reasonable period as needed for sales follow-up, pilot coordination, and ordinary business records. When a conversation is clearly finished and retention is no longer needed, we may delete or minimize what we hold. Exact timelines can vary with open quotes, shipping, or support threads. Order and payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Access and deletion
To ask what we have from your inquiry, or to request deletion of personal data you submitted, email info@WardenRTU.com from the address you used on the form (or identify the inquiry clearly). We will respond within a reasonable time. Some records may need to be kept briefly for fraud prevention, accounting, or legal obligations if those apply.
Cookies and similar technology
This site’s own scripts are minimal: navigation menu behavior, optional demo-video loading on the home page, AJAX handling for the Basin form, and pointing Buy now buttons at our PayPal payment page. We do not set first-party analytics or advertising cookies from site.js. Your browser may still store ordinary technical data (for example, what is needed to complete a form POST). Third-party services you reach from this site (such as Basin and PayPal) may set or process data under their own terms.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect inquiry data in transit and in the tools we use to read submissions. No website or email path is perfectly secure; avoid putting passwords, secrets, or unnecessary personal identifiers in the notes field.
Children
This site is aimed at professional operators and buyers of industrial / communications monitoring equipment. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If we change how we handle inquiry data in a material way, we will update this page and the effective date above.
